Waldo Lake
so we finally made it to Waldo lake on our way home from Dexter the other day. It is a seriously gorgeous lake. It is so clean it is almost like distilled water. we will be back to camp...
i can't beleive that this is only 1 1/2 hours away.

Lordy Lordy Brett turned 40
Brett and Renee hosted a shindig the other day at their place in honor of Brett's 40th.
i would have to say that there were over 100 people there.
there was a DJ and a band, a sushi chef, 2 birthday cakes and a sauna.
Brett had friends and family come from far and wide and Eugene too!
A fun time was had by all. Happiest Birthday to you Brett.

the Oregon Coast
last thursday we headed to the coast for a bit of family time and to enjoy the last of summer before school starts. we stayed in Pacific City just off the beach. we were lucky enough to get sunny weather and we caught sunset every night. Giselle had sand in every nook and cranny. she still has sand in her hair!
Yelly and Yummy
Bubbles and Star the goldfish got 2 new friends the other day. Yelly is a cute guppy and Yummy is an algae eater.
Everyone is healthy and happy.

Mister Michael Michael
Micheal and his friends Tony and Craig passed through last week on their way to Burning Man.
Giselle and Craig had lots of laughs with their tricycle races and Gigi even peed her pants.
They only stayed one night but we had fun and Micheal got the chance to see Neomi for the first time. thanks for the visit Micheal... hope to spend more time soon.

The BIG Sale
the stellar crew (Jason, Barbara, Chelsea, Christine, Carey & Constance) were so organized and efficient. There sure was a dent made in the stock.
Thank you
Bernie and Diane's August visit
i think that Bernie and Diane will be here once a month... Bernie already has his September trip scheduled...
we had a great weekend. Diane rowed in the mornings and we had casual afternoons just playing everything by ear. we enjoyed every second.
thanks for driving down to see us.
I would have put a picture of Diane up but all the pictures of Neomi and Diane are on her camera so send me a picture Diane and I will post it ;-)

4 Peaks Music Festival
we went to a festival last weekend and we only had to drive 20 minutes!!!
it was held at a ranch in Tumalo. when we pulled up there was the familiar parking scene, the vending scene and most importantly the music scene.
we had fun with friends on a sunny saturday afternoon in central oregon listening and dancing to some pretty good music.

Robin and Kurt
In a beautiful pipe ceremony in Tumalo state park Robin and Kurt were wed in the presence of friends and family.
Robin made her dress and Kurt's shirt out of hemp silk. they were so beautiful.
It was honor to be there.

road trip
skipping stones on the way home
Richard had a couple meetings in Portland during the week and had to be gone for an evening. We couldn't bear the thought of being away so Giselle, Neomi and I packed up and went with him. Neomi slept the whole way there but we made a couple of stops on the way back.
On the way back there was a fire just outside of Warm Springs. the smoke made for a beautiful sunset we hope it is contained soon.

the Girls out and about
Neomi and Giselle
Now that Neomi is 7 weeks we are mobile again. I put Neomi in the sling and Giselle sits in the buggy and we walk down the hill to town. Along the way we stop at the willow trees and make willow crowns. Then we walk to the river in Drake park and say hi to the ducks along the way. The weather has been pretty hot lately but in the shade of the trees it is comfortable.
